Marks Tey

On our way back home from Colchester, we got off a train at Marks Tey and went to see a parish church, St. Andrew's. Actually I had been interested in this church, because always I could see the wooden church out of the train window, and it had been on my mind. Marks Tey is a large village. It's one of a group of villages called the Teys, also including Great Tey and Little Tey. But honestly, there is nothing specially highlighted in this village. From the station to the church, we just passed a busy traffic main road.

The church has a small Norman structure, so that considered to be the effect of Vikings. The tower has a bell, and it crowned by a wooden spire. When viewed at close range, it seemed like underwent a refurbishment, but wooden part was old. It was a short explore around the church in Marks Tey, but it was nice to see church building for me.
