Spring Walking

It's nice weather. We walked on the public footpath from Witham, crossed Rivenhall Oaks Golf Course, passed Rivenhall End and Little Braxted, and came back to Witham. This time, we had a ideal partner; a map! It can be our best adviser!!

At first, everything was fine, because we walked some paths before.

But we got lost... as usual... We always get lost in the Golf Course... Actually, we had walked a wrong way at the first stage. So we made a course correction.

This fence was private, but there was no way to get out to the road. So we climbed over the fence... sorry...

Then we arrived at Rivenhall End, our destination as a turning point.

We had a break at a café in the Rivenhall Hotel.

We started walking. Passed Colemans Reservoir towards Little Braxted Lane. It was a very peaceful place.

We got lost again. We couldn't find the way to cross A12 (Roman Road). But my husband found another way, and eventually we reached at Whet Mead, where we had planed to visit next time. It's the edge of the River Walk we usually walk and a Local Nature Reserve managed by Braintree Council. It is rough meadow with a wide of plants and lagoons. It was a great view from a hill.

Finally, we came back to the familiar place; River Walk. We had a late lunch at a café and came back home. Our legs are tired, but it was nice walk under the sunshine in the middle of 3-day holiday.
