Wander Around London Bridge

We were supposed to go to the Crystal Palace, but the train was cancelled from London Bridge Station because of engineering work. We had to go backtrack to get a train and also it rained a bit, so we changed our plan and wandered around London Bridge. The bankside is one of my favourite walking route, but the place we walked was new for me. After coming out of the London Bridge Station, there is a famous skyscraper, the Shard. At first, we went to a restaurant in the shard on 31st floor. It was a very beautiful view and the restaurant is luxurious. Well, we were supposed to have a drink, but we came down without drinking. We made an unscheduled visit there, so I was wearing too casual clothes, and I felt self-conscious, to be honest. Well, we will go there next time:)

Then we went to Borough Market, which is one of the largest and oldest food markets in London. I knew Borough Market and passed by some times, but it was the first time to pop in. It was so crowded with people.

The big mouse found his favourite cheese. He was like a kid in a candy store. He bought slices of cheeses unexceptionally (of course)! Hang on! If I didn't tell him about this stall, hadn't he bought cheese? No way, he must have an extremely sensitive sense of smell as a mouse.

Most of nice restaurants around there were packed. But we found a table and had a late lunch.

Rain stopped, so we started to walk towards Liverpool Street Station. We passed by Southwark Cathedral and crossed the London Bridge.

Leadenhall Market has been on my mind, but shops were closed. The arcade looks nice, doesn't it?

We passed the Heron Tower too. It was a really nice walk:)
