Trimley Walk

We went to Trimley, Suffolk for walking, for 3 straight weeks! Hooray! We got a bus from Ipswich station to Trimley due to engineering work. As the same as the last time, we printed out a map and description from Suffolk Rail Way Walks indication. We didn't walk perfectly the same route as instructed, but we like these walking suggestions.

We started from here.

It was a nice weather, we passed some families on the path.

We walked on uneven ground. I could guess easily that this path would be muddy after the rain.

The view from the lookout platform made me feel dissapointed... because of container, container, containers and noise everywhere....

We visited Trimley Marshes Nature Reserve.

From the lookout platform, we could see a beautiful nature with some birds. On the left, we could see yachts on the river Orwell.

The Nature Reserve was nice, but across a hill, there was Felixstowe's port. I felt bad about noise and black smoke next to the beautiful nature reserve... When we saw this view of cold steel structures, we thought it's enough and headed back to the fork in a path.

I like this area. It reminded me of Iwaki, Japan, my grandparents' house is located. A rich of nature and a full of green.

I thought the figure of this tree is beautiful. It must have been there for a long time.

We reached at the edge of the village.

And then, came back to the station.

We completed the route and felt legs were tired. So we walked towards the village centre to find a pub. On a way to a pub, we saw at least four churches on the main street. According to the website, Trimley St. Mary and Trimley St. Martin are famous for their adjacent churches which were built as the result of a historical family feud.
